Importance of the draft

New to the boards. Need to post so I can show my site banners. 1st year with a custom site and desiging has become addictive.

We are in our 21st year this year. Our league puts a lot of emphasis on who you draft. We can only make 3 waiver wire moves per half ($5 & -100pts) and 3 more in the mid season draft (free). We did this because it was easy to draft your starting 8 and not really care about the last 8 players.Then during the bye weeks, rob the waiver wire for free and beat your head to head opponent.

Our league is a total points league with Head to Head as a secondary standings. The -100pts is not really a big hit, but if you do that 3 or more times, at the end of the year, your usually going to find yourself short of 1st - 4th place (money spots). Trades are unlimted and cost $10 per franchise.
