Trade just accepted - how did I do? WHIR

Postby Tim Riggins » Mon Sep 10, 2012 9:06 am

I just traded Demaryius Thomas, Kevin Smith and Mikel Leshoure for Hakeem Nicks and Isaiah Pead. I had a glut of good RBs and wanted to shore up my WR spots. This is a .5 PPR.

My other players at the relevant positions are:

WR: Megatron, Denarius Moore, Kendall Wright
RB: Forte, Steven Jackson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Stevan Ridley

I think you could have done better.

The WRs are a wash, imo
\
and you got worse at RB, in the short term, while smith is healthy

Agree with this. Thomas looked very impressive last night, but Nicks has the same big play ability so the receivers are pretty much even. Pead is a backup and Smith starts. I'd have to say you lost on this one.

To me, Nicks is a clear upgrade over Thomas, this week's results notwithstanding. And I can only start three RBs, tops, so I'm going to have a #1/#2 option on the bench even after the trade. I think it substantially improves my starting lineup, although it does hurt my RB depth.

Pead is a throw-in.

I definitely think you overpaid and a little patience could have yielded you a better deal, but all in all your team looks marginally better
