Yahoo League Waiver Wire Order

Postby XeasyryderX » Mon Sep 10, 2012 11:05 am

I'm in a 10 team Yahoo league, and this is the waiver system the LM set up:

"Weekly rolling list based on standings"

After week 1, there will be five 1-0 teams and five 0-1 teams. Does the 0-1 team that scored the least amount of points get the first waiver wire priority?

I'm hoping so. Does anyone know for sure? Up to this point, I have scored the least amount of points in my league this week, so if I bench Ray Rice, Torrey Smith, and my IDP, I will be guaranteed the #1 waiver spot. Normally I wouldn't do it, but in my league we start 3 WRs, and I seemingly have absolutely no WR depth on my bench. Here are my starters:

Antonio Brown
Torrey Smith
Percy Harvin

On my bench I have:

Jon Baldwin
Greg Little

Baldwin and Little both scored zero points yesterday, and Randall Cobb is available in my league. Would you guys recommend throwing my week 1 matchup so I can drop Baldwin for Cobb? Like I said, I really don't want to do it, but when bye weeks roll around, I will be completely screwed.

Thanks for the advice!

Take it away, Herm:

In other words, I wouldn't throw the game unless there's absolutely zero chance of winning. And even then I wouldn't like it.

Oh and this week I would say I have a small chance of winning. I'm down by 29 points (standard scoring), and I have Ray Rice, Torrey Smith, and Tyvon Branch (IDP). The team I'm up against has Anquan Boldin. So even if I did start all of my players, a win is looking unlikely.

I like the motivation!!! It's really a toss-up for me right now. I have about six hours to decide what I'm going to do...
