Was offered Kevin Smith for Donald Brown WHIR!!

Postby 16FAC » Mon Sep 10, 2012 7:59 pm

I have Brown and was offered Smith. Non ppr league/ 1pt/20yds rush and rec. 6pts/TD.

Both backs look pretty good but I question Smiths longevity for the season.
I have Matthew Stafford and right now my two premiere RB's (Matthews and F. Jackson) are ....well you know!

I'm thinking of going for this! Pre draft I had them neck and neck in my rankings so its not lopsided and with Stafford.....any game could be Smith's.

What do ya'll think?

Thanks for your help with mine.

I personally like Smith over Donald Brown. I see Indy being down in a lot of games this year and see that factoring in to Brown's value as they'll have to abandon the run a lot - I'm personally not too high on Brown this year.

like above post you can figure on Colts having to abandon the run early in most (if not all) of their games this season so in your situation I would pull the trigger and hope Smith stays healthy at least long enough for your other rbs to get on the field

I prefer brown. Hell get touches and doesn't have anyone breathing down his neck.

Smiths had durability issues in the past and when leshoure returns next week, he's gonna eat into his touches including around the end zone.

I like Smith over Brown, too. Colts will be playing from behind all season and Brown doesn't seem at all involved with the pass game.

Yeah, I'd have to go Kevin Smith here as well. I would take it.

I think you are right to have them both valued near each other, but I have to agree that D. Brown won't be in too many "run out the clock" scenarios this year. Luck will have to be throwing every down just to make up for interceptions and deficits. Kevin Smith is safety risk, but why break the trend with your other backs? Haha. Seriously though, Smith over Brown by a nose.
