F. Jackson/J. Tamme for R. Bush/C. Fleener WHIR

Postby Chicago 2 » Mon Sep 10, 2012 9:58 pm

With the injury bug striking me again in week 1 (former Charles owner in '11), I've been proposed a trade that I might just have to accept but am open to your advice.

I don't know when Jackson will return, if he returns, this trade is essentially Jackson for Bush. I hate to trade to this owner because his team is already strong and stashing Jackson makes sense but I badly need a RB.

Giving:
Fred Jackson
Jacob Tamme

Getting:
Reggie Bush
Coby Fleener

Also, if he counters and replaces Tamme with Gonzo is the deal still worth it?

I would do it. You really don't know when Fred Jackson will come back. From what I'm reading, my guess is at least 5 weeks and you don't know if he'll even come back as a useful fantasy option. I really do think CJ will take over, do well as the starter, and hold onto the spot - barring injury. So yeah, at least you get a solid RB2 in the meantime and can platoon Kevin Smith with him - whom I don't trust all that much but may continue to be the starter even beyond week 2. It feels shitty this soon after the draft, but I think it's a solid, logical move.
