Am I Giving Too Much?

Postby aalkatrio » Tue Sep 11, 2012 10:23 am

I need some more starting RB's this season. I was wondering if I proposed a trade if it would be either too much or the RB I'm looking to get is over hyped.

Stevan Ridley for Chris Johnson and Wes Welker.

Another question is if I'm willing to give these two guys up, should I go for a stud/better RB?

Here's my team:

QB Philip Rivers
RB Chris Johnson
RB Darren Sproles
RB/WR Wes Welker
WR Marques Colston
WR Julio Jones
TE Tony Gonzalez
D/ST Packers
K Matt Prater

Bench Ben Tate, Hou RB
Bench David Wilson, NYG RB
Bench Michael Crabtree, SF WR
Bench Malcom Floyd, SD WR
Bench Titus Young, Det WR
Bench Ryan Williams, Ari RB P
Bench Josh Freeman, TB QB

Whoa. This would be a terrible deal for you. Do not propose!

I'd keep what you have for now. CJ will bounce back.

Even though Welker seems to be phasing out of the Patriots plan? Shouldn't I try to sell him higher now before everyone else catches on?

It's been one game. Do not overreact from one game, Welker's going to be fine. He might not put up last year's stats, but you shouldn't trade him because of one bad week.

But with the depth I have in WRs, shouldn't I try for a better/more consistent RB?

Instead of going for Ridley, would Murray be better?

You are putting WAY to much stock into just one week of football.

Your buying and extreme sell high and selling 2 extreme buy lows.

Welker and CJ will be just fine, and Ridley isnt going to be that hot all season, imo

I understand your want to sell welker, but you should wait till a week when he puts up bigger numbers, and try to get a more established back than ridley.

Ridley has 1 week of football to go off of, he is NOT yet worthy of making this trade.

Agree. Don't overreact. I had Johnson last year and he is ranked in the #5 RBs for a reason. What you need to look first is the Wavier Wire and see who you can drop (Wilson) and pick up (Morris or Spiller). Go for Ridley but don't offer both Walker and Johnson.
