Trade away A Rod or Stafford for an RB

Postby audiolaboratory273 » Tue Sep 11, 2012 11:50 am

So in my work league I wasn't able to attend the draft, and got stuck with QB's for my top two picks.

Here's my roster:
QB: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford
RB: T. Richardson, McGahee, R. Matthews, Gerhart (dropped now)
WR: Mike Wallace, Miles Ausitn, Reggie Wayne, Eric Decker
TE: Witten, Fred Davis (dropping)
D/ST: Bears
K:Hartley

I feel like I'm ok at WR but I don't have a true RB1. I don't think anyone needs or would want Stafford so I am debating of trading Rodgers. The only guy who would sniff at Rodgers has Vick and Rivers as his QB. This is his roster:
QB: Vick, Rivers
RB: Rice, Forte, Hillis, Benson
WR: Harvin, Torrey Smith, D. Thomas,
TE: Jimmy Graham
D/ST: Ravens
K:Prater

I want to target Forte. I'm thinking something like this: Stafford/Wayne/Richardson for Vick/Forte

any suggestions? He's already tried trading Benson and Hillis for Richardson and Wayne separately

P.S. I have the 5th waiver and put in for Ridley,A. Morris, and Mendenhall. I feel dumb because I had Ridley but I dropped him for Wayne because I didn't think Ridley would do anything. But Wayne isn't doing bad.

I think that deal is fair, you don't need both Rodgers as stafford, I'm surprised more people aren't buying on stafford, I would have thought he could have gotten a decent back. I guess the main problem with QB is unless it's a 16 team league, everyone has a pretty good QB. That being said I like the deal, and if he's tried for Richardson before it might be tempting enough to part with Forte.

As or the WW, I prefer Ridley to Morris, and I don't rally want any of Mendenhall, he isn't look good last year when he was healthy and the I line hasn't gotten better.

I'm in an 8 team league so everyone who is pretty active in the league either has a pretty good QB or nothing to offer me in return

why trade away stafford and pick up vick in return? imo get a wr or rb instead of vick and pick up someone like flacco as a back up

it's a moot point now. He declined the trade saying Forte and Rice are untouchable. And nobody else wants to trade. Time to ride the WW and hope for this years Demarco Murray

Don't worry. Plenty of people will be knocking on the door for stafford. Last week was fluke. He had 3 int and 355 passing yards. Or go rodgers for rice. Rodgers would be very hard to let go though.
Please answer my question!
