Drop Tate for a sleeper? WHIR

Postby cchhiipp » Tue Sep 11, 2012 2:05 pm

I don't need Ben Tate, really, so I'm thinking of dropping him and taking a gamble at a potential sleeper off the waiver wire. The question is...who?

With two W/R flex on my team, I can basically go for a WR or RB if I drop Tate. Non-PPR league.

Options include: RB Morris (Was), WR Ogletree (Dal), WR Cobb (GB), Rice (Sea)

I already have a waiver request in for WR Hill (NYJ). (Dropping Braylon Edwards)

Basically, the usual suspects on most of your waiver wires this week. Just, not sure who's the best pick for someone I don't need to start any time soon but might swap in in coming weeks if they pan out. Morris looked awesome on Sunday, but by the time he might be useful to me, I'm afraid Shanahan will have moved on to someone else like Helu.

So, long term, what's the best bet?

I really like Cobb. I'm a 49ers fan so I was watching the Green Bay game and Cobb looked good. If Jennings is out for a while, that only helps him. Also, Green Bay loves to pass the ball no matter if they're down or up.

No, Tate's not a handcuff for me.
