Alright, I'm trying to work a trade with a buddy of mine that really wants RGIII. I don't mind since I have Brees, and lets face it, when am I ever going to start RGIII over Brees. Should I try and trade RGIII and one of my other main RBs to get Rice? I don't know if he would go for it, but if I can bait him with RGIII and Martin, he might trade Rice and Green? Or is that too wishful? I could throw T. Smith in there as well. I can always pick up whichever QB he drops to replace Wilson as my backup. Our rosters are below. And post a link to yours, will help in return.
Mine: QB: Brees/Griffin/Wilson RB: MJD/S. Jax/D. Martin/R. Williams WR: D.Jax/Brown/S. Rice/P. Garcon/T. Smith TE: G. Olsen D: Texans
His: QB: Big Ben/A. Smith RB: Rice/Lynch/Mendenhall/Wells/McGahee WR: Bryant/Green/Meacham/Maclin TE: Grahm / Gonzalaz D: Steelers
I don't think there is any way he gives up both Rice and Green, I'm pretty sure he took those guys to be his studs week in and week out.
That said, RG3 and Martin for Rice/whatever filler is a great trade for you, essentially its upgrading Martin for Rice, and the only negative is that you improve his qb situation. Like you said, if you're never playing RG3, who's still not really proven, you can afford to "lose" in this trade. Maybe try to add T. Smith for Green, but I wouldnt take it if it was me. Maybe go after Maclin? got banged up last week, but looked like the clear better WR in Philly
If it's your friend you're trading with, it should be easier to discuss multiple options
I would try the RGIII and MArtin for Rice first. If he doesn't accept that then maybe try RGIII and SJax for Rice and maybe Maclin. That might work as well.
QB- D. Brees, J. Freeman RB- M. Lynch, T. Richardson, R. Hillman, D. Brown WR- R. Wayne, M. Colston, L. Moore, J. Gordon, A. Brown TE- A. Hernandez, K. Rudolph, B. Myers
Would you guys definitely trade Martin over SJAX. I feel like Martin has the better upside, and I feel like its harder for St. Louis to move the ball than the Bucs.
