During our 10 team draft, I was picking last and Chris Johnson was supposly the best pick at the time. I've been burnt by him before and I swore I wouldn't pick him up again, but I did. Now I think I'm kicking myself in the butt.
I won my game last week and ended up 2nd overall in points only 13.73 points behind the leader. The team I'm trying to trade with is 9th and really needs a QB that can throw up some fantasy numbers. I texted him yesterday and he's willing to be entertained with a draft proposal, but as long as McCoy is not in it.
My team:
Starters;
QB - M. Stafford (DET)
WR - M. Colston (NO) / B. Marshall (CHI)
RB - S. Jackson (STL) / C. Johnson (TEN)
TE - A. Gates (SD)
WR/TE - R. Wayne (IND)
K - M. Bryant (ATL)
DEF - New England
My Bench;
QB - T. Romo (DAL)
WR - E. Decker (DEN)
WR - K Ogletree (DAL)
RB - M. Ingram (NO)
RB - D. Brown (IND)
TE - G. Olsen (CAR)
His team:
Starters;
QB - E. Manning (NYG)
WR - D. Armendola (STL) / V. Cruz (NYG)
RB - L. McCoy (PHI) / S. Ridley (NE)
TE - O. Daniels (HOU)
WR/TE - S. Smith (CAR)
K - S. Gostkowski (NE)
DEF - Seattle
His Bench;
QB - P. Rivers (SD)
WR - R. Meachem (SD)
WR - G. Jennings (GB)
RB - J. Stewart (CAR)
RB - D. Sproles (NO)
TE - F. Davis (WAS)
I know he said McCoy was out of the question, but I thought I may offer him either Romo or Stafford, Johnson and either Decker, Colston or Ogletree for McCoy, Rivers and Jennings.
Our league really favors the QBs. (last week's points) Stafford (53.5), Romo (49.98), Manning (27.52), Rivers (35.54), McCoy (32.6), Johnson (16.6), Colston (9.1), Decker (10.4), Ogletree (33.4), Jennings (8.4) and Smith (17.6)
Should I even try to consider coming up with something? If this was the League, he would have his name on the Sacko several times already. I agree that McCoy is his best player, but if I can offer him a better QB and a replacement RB, he may bite.
