Forte trade.. How does it work?

So my league is on NFL.com.
My team is in my signature.

I traded away Forte, Cutler and Wayne for Brady and Bowe

So under View Trade it says:
"This trade has been accepted and is pending until the morning of Friday, September 14, 2012."

BUT! Forte (and Cutler) plays Thursday night, so what happens then?
Will i be able to use Forte as a starter Thursday and then the other owner gets him "used" - while i get a "fresh" Brady that i can also use, on sunday?

Anyone knows if this is how it works? Seems pretty unfair. Luckily to my advantage if so, but unfair nonetheless

Unless your league incorporates 2 starting QB's you can only use one in your starting lineup each week. You will have to decide which QB would benefit you best - Cutler (before trade goes through Friday) or Brady (after trade).

I know, i wasn't planning on using Cutler.

If it works as i think (the unfair way) i wanna use Forte before the trade executes and then use Brady after it's executed.
If this is how it works i get that i'll have used a RB spot, but i'd gladly use that on Forte if i can.

Place Manning in your starting QB slot till the trade goes through (place Cutler on the bench). Once the trade goes through swap Manning for Brady.

You should be able to. Years ago when I was in NFL.com leagues they were run similar to CBS leagues, which allow lineup changes after Wednesday/Thursday night games for players of teams not associated for that week's mid-week games.

Check your lineup rules to be sure. But unless NFL.com has altered their software in the past 5-10 years you should be able to take advantage of using Forte before the trade and Brady after the trade.
