Alfred Morris for Chris Johnson?

Postby salrap10 » Thu Sep 13, 2012 8:46 am

10 team non ppr league. I want to sell high on morris and buy low on johnson. I know on paper this trade sounds ridiculous but should I offer this?

My Team:

QB: Rivers, Luck
RB: Charles, Foster, R. Williams, Morris
WR: Julio, Decker, A. Brown, LaFell, T. Smith, Randall Cobb
TE: Kyle Rudolph

His Team:

QB: C. Newton, M. Vick
RB: Chris Johnson, Darren Sproles, Deangelo Williams, Willis McGahee, David Wilson
WR: Roddy White, Hakeem Nicks, Anquan Boldin, Santana Moss
TE: Greg Olsen, Pettigrew

While I am one of the leaders of the anti Chris Johnson movement, I would still rather have him than Morris. I don't think CJ will ever get back to when he was good. Prior to getting paid. However he is the only rb in Tenn and even a bad year for him will likely be better than Morris.

I see no reason for the other owner not to accept it. In a 10-team league you can afford to take a few more chances and Chris Johnson is worth the risk with your depth at RB.

I think it will be tough for him to accept the 1 for 1 trade. So it depends how high you think of what CJ can do this...if high you can add one of your backup wrs...but i probably wouldnt do that. I think Morris will be solid but i agree that CJ will be better but i dont think he will explode.
