Pitta v James Jones v Meachem (PPR)

rec = 0.5 pts
TDs = 6
10 yards = 1 pt, 4 pt bonus at 100, 3 pt bonuses at 150/200

So at my WR/TE flex position, I have these 3 options. Pitta looked to be the favorite target of Flacco, Jones is stepping in for Jennings in a high powered offense, and Meachem has explosive big play ability. Which way to go?

I don't like Meachem. Honestly I think I would start Pitta. He's obviously a focal point in that offense. With GB, anyone and their grandma could be scoring.

I'm not sure about Pitta so comes down to Jones and Meachem.

Meachem probably has better matchup against Ten. and Jones is in an offense that spreads the ball around a lot more so hit or miss. Tough call, on a coin flip I'd take Meachem

I personally would use pitta. Jones might have tough coverage. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the help on mine. Very helpful.

Anyways, I think its between Pitta and Jones here. Meacham had 2 targets last week (he caught both for 49 yards) but if hadn't been for that 46 yard grab he'd have had 1 catch for 3 yards. Too few targets to consider starting him in a PPR league right now (unless he got injured or missed part of the game or something I dont know about).

So its between Pitta and Jones. Jones is in what should be a more pass-happy offense but is behind nelson, finley, and now cobb in terms of looks (even with Jennings out). He could have a great game (as could any packers WR any week) but you would be counting on a TD or two as he is not going to be getting as many targets or receptions as you generally want out of a PPR league WR.

I think Pitta is the play here despite being the least common household name of the 3 guys. Pitta led his team in targets (more than boldin and t smith combined last week) and receptions plus got several looks in the red zone and converted one for a TD. I think a lot of teams took a look at the Patriots success with using their TEs as safety net playmakers to move the chains and create mismatches in the red zone. depending how the game against the eagles unfolds, i think pitta may be in for somewhat similar production.

good luck!

Thanks for the responses all, I've decided to go with Pitta because of the strength of PHIs CBs, hoping that Pitta can take advantage of a lackluster LB corps. Benching Jones was tough, but too random. Here's hoping ;-D
