Do I start Marshall and Jeffrey? WHIR

Postby JeRmZ » Thu Sep 13, 2012 5:03 pm

Would I be crazy to start ...

Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall tonight??

right now I have my lineup set as ..

Brandon Marshall
Vincent Jackson
Brandon Lafell
Randy Moss

on the bench I have Alshon Jeffrey and Kenny Britt. I'm not playing Britt until we can see what he looks like the next few weeks but Jeffrey looked good last week and I think he's going to earn more playing time going forward.

So if I start him, who do I sit? each time I go through my matchups I find reason not to play Jeffrey ...

VJax plays NYG and they got SMOKED by Dallas through the air
LaFell is slowly going to be the #1 this year in my opinion
Randy Moss is aging BUT the game with Detroit may turn into a shoot out

I would go with Jeffery over Lafell. I do not think this is the week when Lafell breaks out.

Forgot to mention that this is a PPR league also ... 1/2 point per catch

I was thinking Jeffrey over Moss myself but each time I go back I think that game in San Fran turns into a shoot out and Moss could be more involved this week.

GB had a terrible pass def. I wouldn't hesitate to start both of them...they like to throw the ball.

Good luck

Thanks for the help with mine.

Marshall absolutely. Toss between LaFell and Jeffrey. The Bears game should be a shootout. Roll with both Bears players.

That's tough, usually I'm against playing TWO WR's from the same team. And I still am. You stay with their number one WR, Marshall. Carolina's going to be FORCED to throw. Brees is going to come back with fury, and Carolina will be throwing and throwing. I'd go Marshall and LaFell.

Thanks for the help

I'm going to have to disagree and say to go with moss or Lafell over Jeffrey.

Jeffrey only had 5 targets on a night when Cutler came out shooting. Even though he had 80 yards, it was only 3 catches, and he's not going to average 26.7 yards per catch all the time. Also if the bears even sniff at the Redzone they are going to Marshall first, then Bush. Against the Packers I could see them trying to slow the game down and run the ball more than you think. With a solid back like Forte I could see them going for much longer, more methodical drives down the field, not pass pass pass and risk giving too much possession time to GB.

I also would go Marshall and LaFell, I'm against starting two WR's on the same team (although my league you only start two WR's so I'm a bit biased).
