I am looking to upgrade at wr. If you think this is not a good trade, or wont work , who can i target?
Here is my lineup
QB Cam Newton, Car QB
RB LeSean McCoy, Phi RB
RB Ryan Mathews*, SD RB
WR Antonio Brown, Pit WR
WR Torrey Smith, Bal WR
TE Rob Gronkowski, NE TE
FLEX Reggie Wayne, Ind WR
D/ST Steelers D/ST D/ST
K Dan Bailey, Dal K
Bench Kevin Smith, Det RB Bench Ben Tate, Hou RB Bench Kevin Ogletree, DAL WR Bench Ben Roethlisberger, Pit QB Bench Donald Brown, Ind RB Bench Evan Royster, Wsh RB
I wouldn't do that, but I'm an unapologetic Kevin Smith lover and Victor Cruz skeptic.
With your team playing a flex spot, I would just play Reggie Wayne or Torrey Smith at your WR2, and put Kevin Smith as your flex. Wayne's production may drop off some when Collie returns, but the flip side of that is that Wayne won't be getting quite as much attention. IMO, he's an underrated WR2. Torrey Smith is solid, and with the way Flacco is throwing it he should have a good season. But I always want to play an RB in the flex spot unless it's a terrible matchup (which Smith's matchup against the 49ers admittedly is).
There are valid reasons to consider it, though. If you're looking to move Smith, after his 2TD/21 pt game might be a good time. I still don't believe Leshoure is going to unseat Smith though.
Forget Victor Cruz. I have something that could win you the league in one trade. Trade Antonio Brown, Torrey Smith, & Kevin Smith for Calvin Johnson. You would then have Calvin Johnson as your WR1, Reggie Wayne as your WR2, & then Donald Brown as your flex. Not to mention that you would keep your top 4 picks in tact with Cam Newton, LeSean McCoy, Ryan Mathews, & Rob Gronkowski.
Thanks for the help with mine!

That leaves him no depth at WR! Even if he would be able to pull that off!
either way, not a good idea to trade, I think.
Drop Royster, pick up...well, who's available at WR?
"We couldn’t do diddley poo offensively, we couldn’t make a first down, we couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t try to run the ball, we couldn’t complete a pass - we sucked."
I wouldn't do it. You are not terribly deep at either position. You would be stretched too thin. You will have good starters, but you would have even less depth. If/when Mathews gets hurt again, or you start dealing with bye weeks, you won't have enough depth for quality starters. If you had even one injury to any of your starters (again, or when byes start) after this trade, you have to bank on your FLEX spot to be filled by Tate, Ogletree, or Royster. I'm not sold on Ogletree yet. Tate is a marginal fantasy point producer. Royster...drop him. Pick up a higher upside WR/RB off the wire instead.
Kevin Smith should be decent as long as he's healthy, and I think Torrey Smith will have better weeks coming up.

He's in a 12 team league so those 3 guys are valuable. He's not in a shallow 10 team league like yourself where everyone's roster & bench is stacked.

Sell High! Kevin Smith is good for 1 more week and Torrey Smith is now the main WR threat in Baltimore with Bolden aging. Although I would target a RB.
Smith is relatively injury prone and Detroit isn't very high on him.
