Before the season I had Welker rated higher than Cruz. Now I have Cruz slightly ahead of Welker after 1 week. I'm not "super" high on either tbh (both are obviously still pretty good). Welker has too many other guys to steal his thunder around him, and Cruz was a drop machine last week; the latter being much easier to solve of course.
I would do it.

I think in a ppr league I'd stick it put with Welker. Cruz has had one good year, had a bad start to the season with three drops, so I'd wait for a bit with him. Stick it out with Welker, he didn't have his normally game, but he will rebound and put up some numbers. Good luck.

Welker vs. Cruz is basically 1-2 pts difference per game - as long as he's seeing the touches he got last year. Lloyd still looked out of place; seemed like Brady was trying to throw to Randy Moss again. Cruz has more upside, but Welker catches balls. I think Pats are going to commit to run more, so that it will set up big pass plays (not that they didn't already have them), also makes them harder to predict. Welker did see less targets, plus his age is a factor. I'm guessing Welker gets 70 balls while Cruz is 80+ this year. I'd do it.

PPR I'd stick with Welker. I think they are going to get him more involved moving forward. The types of balls Lloyd will be taking away wouldn't be going to Welker anyway.
