Foster/Finley for Gronk/Murray? WHIR

Postby dajonx » Mon Sep 17, 2012 1:22 pm

Background: 8 team non-PPR keeper league

My Current Team:
QB - Matt Ryan
WR - Julio Jones
WR - AJ Green
RB - Arian Foster
RB - Darren McFadden
TE - Jermichael Finley
WR/RB - Doug Martin
K - David Akers
DEF - Houston
Ben Tate
Miles Austin
Mike Wallace
Cedric Benson
Torrey Smith
Jay Cutler
Rashard Mendenhall

His Team:
QB - Tom Brady
WR - Percy Harvin
WR - Demaryius Thomas
RB - Stevan Ridley
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw
TE - Rob Gronkowski
WR/RB - DeMarco Murry
K - Mike Nugent
DEF - Baltimore
Kevin Smith
Jeremy Maclin
Darren Sproles
Shonn Greene
Marques Colston
Jacob Tamme
Garrett Hartley

Do you guys think I should offer Arian Foster/Jermichael Finley for Rob Gronkowski/DeMarco Murray? Or just stay as-is?

Thanks!

For starters I would low ball with DMC/Finley for Gronk/Murray and see if that works, but if you do the suggested trade I think your team may be susceptible to a RB injury with both DMC and Murray but that can be addressed by moving some WR for RBs. Is Arian your keeper and is it around a 5th round from 2 years ago? I wouldn't do it in that case if he is your keeper, but I would stay as-is at the moment or do a combo of Finley/Wallace for graham or gronk if possible. I value Foster more than Gronk or Graham.

Thank you for the advice!

Yes, Foster is my keeper from last year, but he was my first rounder.

I have another possible trade scenario... DMC/Torrey Smith for Graham/BJE. I'm not sure if he'll bite, but I do know he wants a good RB and is willing to trade Graham. He wanted to do a 2 for 2 trade since DMC is "injury-prone".
