S.Johnson/T.Smith for Colston/Finley WHIR

Postby Game » Mon Sep 17, 2012 3:16 pm

14 teams h2h, no ppr, standard scoring. 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 te, 1 w/r flex

My S.Johnson/T.Smith for Colston/Finley

This is a trade I am thinking about offering. The Finley owner also has Gronk at TE and Randy Moss is his # 2 wr. I have Hernandez who is now going to be out for at least 6 weeks and the WW is super thin with this being a 14 team league. I put in a claim for Chandler but not sure if I can really trust him. I'm also trying to buy low on Colston.

My Team
QB-M.Ryan
HB. A.Foster, W. Mcghaee, K.Smith, B.Tate, D.Wilson
WR-Julio Jones, S.Johnson, T.Smith,K.Wright, A.Collie(may drop him soon)
TE-A. Hernandez

It seems like a fair move.

I thought smith was in for a
Big year, could be still. Steve Johnson's buffalo's main target.

Finley isn't very consistent, chandler scores alot.

Comes down too- do you prefer COlston or Johnson?

If you like Colston, do it. Johnson, don't.

Help me out with my TE dilemma

Thx for your help on mine!

I'm not very high Finley as frankly he's been a bit of a disappointment the past 2 seasons (a la Kellen Winslow). I do like Colston better than Johnson so it depends upon your preferences. All else a given I would rather have Hernandez and Johnson but with the injury I think your best move is to make the deal.

I'm not big on Finley either but this owner is probably my best chance to make a trade for a decent te until Hernandez gets back.

What about offering Smith for Finley straight up?

I like the idea you just presented of trying to move smith for finley straight up. if you can land that I'd do it. otherwise it's like the previous poster said. it depends on who you prefer between colston and johnson. personally i like stevie J.

while not high on Finley; He's still a very good option @ TE. I'd offer that trade... and depending if you like Johnson more than Colston would determine if you want to do the 1:1 or the package

thanks for the help with mine; I responded to your comment. take a look when you have a moment:

Thanks for the help!

I would also look to see if he would be interested in doing a 1:1 trade (Smith for Finley). I do think that is a fair trade offer.

I believe both ideas sound like fair offers, but I would be more inclined to include the Johnson for Colston component within the trade. I think Colston is a better player who will turn it around as the Saints offense starts clicking. While Finley is inconsistent, I think he has a lot of talent that is always worth having. Smith seems like he will continue to be a feast or famine player - with more famine.

Would you mind giving me your thoughts?

Steve Johnson is too valuable to give up, Colston hasn't put up many points for NO. I would try to find a 1 for 1 trade for a new TE or pick up someone like Brent Celek off the waiver wire.
QB -Aaron Rodgers
RB -LeSean McCoy
RB -Ahmad Bradshaw
WR -Roddy White
WR -Steve Smith
TE - Brandon Myers
W/R - Danario Alexander
K - Gostkowski
D - Texans

BN - M Reece
BN - Antonio Brown
BN - R Hillman
BN - R Mendenhall
BN - S Johnson
BN - T Young
