I can't deal with this guys injuries! I'm thinking hey this calf thing isn't going to hurt me at all and im gonna be in good shape for the playoffs... Silly me...
Dec 9 Tennessee revealed that much of the pain that quarterback Steve McNair is experiencing in his left ankle is actually the result of a cracked bone spur rather than the sprain itself. The Titans explained the full results of the MRI on Tuesday. "Really it's way too early in the week to be able to determine how he's going to be,'' head coach Jeff Fisher said. He also added that McNair's ability to scramble would be a significant factor in the decision.
Views: While this certainly isn't good news for McNair's uncertain status, we feel pretty good about his chances since he did finish the game last week and was productive in doing so. That said, fantasy owners should definitely prepare a backup plan, and borderline starters such as Jake Plummer and Jake Delhomme are among the viable options based on their matchups. We'll of course keep you posted daily on McNair's status.
Now my next best option is Quincey Carter... I have Kitna at the #2 slot... what to do what to do...
