10-team non-PPR standard scoring, he offered bowe for doug martin I countered with martin for steve smith, he's not budging... Thoughts? My WR depth is lacking... any thoughts would be helpful
My team: QB: Matt Ryan RB: Arian Foster, Darren McFadden, Ryan Matthews, Doug Martin, Rashard Mendenhall, Donald Brown WR: Julio Jones, Malcom Floyd, Titus Young, Dexter McCluster, Randall Cobb, DHB TE: Jimmy Graham D/ST: Patriots K: Janikowski
His Team (just for good measure): QB:Alex Smith, Ely Manning RB: Ahmad Bradshaw, Jamaal Charles, DeAngelo Williams WR:Dwayne Bowe, Steve Smith, Antonio Brown, Kevin Ogletree, Steve Johnson, Denarious Moore TE: Hernandez D/ST: 49ers K: Crosby
I agree with the above comment. I don't think Bowe is a big improvement for you as a second receiver. Doug Martin will become more tradeable for you. Having 4 starting RBs is a big asset in fantasy and you should use that to your advantage.
10-team keeper league - QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX, D/ST, K QB - Newton, Palmer RB - R. Matthews, Martin, Stewart, F. Jones, B. Brown WR - Julio, Austin, Maclin, Heyward-Bey, Amendola, D. Alexander TE - Graham D/ST - Bears K - Tynes
I'm high on Doug Martin. I would try to trade him to another team with better WRs. I'm a little worried about Steve Smith's injury even though he's still producing. You have awesome RBs, but no need to sell'em low.
I'm in the minority here. I prefer Bowe over S. Smith. Bowe was a top 5 WR just 2 years ago. TD's were lacking last year, but he's already got 2 this year. They are bad! and, that means lots of trash time. I like Bowe to be a top 10-15 WR.
If you want to make a trade RB for WR, I like Bowe.
I'd hang onto Martin for sure. And on his team, why isn't Stevie Johnson starting? I'd rather have him than bowe. But the other poster raised a good point about Bowe's potential, maybe he will turn into top 12-15 again.
Either way, RB's are still gold by the time you get to week 8 and there are injuries mounting. WRs just don't get injured at nearly that rate.
