Hernandez out, need a TE, who to Drop? WHIR 100%

Postby saemick » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:34 pm

Hernandez looks like he's out for at least a few weeks (probably closer to 6), so I need a TE in his place. In a shallow 12-team league (14 man rosters), so am gonna make a claim for one of:

Celek, Pitta, Rudolph, Bennett

but I need to figure out who to drop. here's my roster:

QB: Romo, Wilson
RB: Foster, Martin, Tate, Jaquizz, Ingram
WR: Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Torrey Smith, Denarius Moore
TE: Hernandez
K: Bironas
DST: NE
Scoring: 10yds rush/rec = 1pt, 25yds pass = 1pt, TD = 6pts, reception = .5pts, fumble/int. = -2pts
Start: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR, TE, K, DST

I'm basically between: Wilson, Ingram, Moore, or Jaquizz (depending on how he plays tonight)

thoughts?

I'd probably drop Ingram depending on how Jaquizz plays tonight. Turner is IMO going to be phased out of this new run and gun offense even more and rodgers is a much better pass catcher. NO doesn't run enough and has so many backs that it makes it tough to be a focal point. just my 2 cents.

help me?

I'd drop Ingram,Romo has early buy week so would want to keep Wilson(and possibly start over him if he has another game like yesterdays),believe Rodgers will start seeing more touches soon, and Moore is starting to look like top receiving option in Oakland

Depending on what qb's are available on the wire I'd drop Wilson. I think he'll get better as the season progresses but he really hasn't done anything that makes him a must own. If you prefer to keep Wilson than I'd go with Ingram as the others have suggested.

Available QB's on WW are:
Fitzpatrick
Cassel
Palmer
Ponder
Gabbert
Kolb

not the greatest options

There aren't a lot of great options and if you like the insurance of a backup qb I'd drop Ingram but it's not like I expect Wilson to tear it up.

I voted for Wilson. Please disregard. I don't think he's that much better than your WW options, but Fitzpatrick plays SF in week 5, Palmer is on a bye, Cassel plays BAL, and Wilson gets CAR. He looks like the best matchup for week 5 of those options. I would also drop Ingram. Moore looks ready to take over as WR1 in OAK.

I would appreciate your thoughts on my question when you have a chance. Thanks.
