Trade Morris for Fred Jackson? + free agent help??? WHIR

Postby NYG1119 » Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:28 pm

I have Rice and Sproles in a 14-team PPR league and besides that I have David Wilson, Jaquizz, and Morris as my other 3 backs...should I trade Morris to get Fred when he comes back.

Also I was thinking of dropping a player or 2 to pick a couple players up.

Free agent I am targeting: Pitta (BAL), Andre Brown (NYG), Daryl Richardson (STL), Donnie Avery (IND)

My team
QB: Romo, A.Smith
RB: Rice, Sproles, Morris, Jaquizz, D.Wilson
WR: Julio, DeSean, Garcon, S.Hill, Randle
TE: Tamme
Texans D, Chargers D
Matt Bryant

I'm a Giants fan so I'm scared to let go of Wilson and Randle but does anyone think any of the 4 players above would be more valuable to have then Randle, Hill, or Wilson. I'm thinking I should grab Pitta but who would I drop. I used my waiver on Hill last week and still think he can be good. It's really tough with 16 roster spots. I would like to keep Chargers D for when I need to mix and match but maybe I should cut them.

i'm an amateur with this stuff, but FJax may be out a while, and with Spiller lighting things up, who knows if he'll retake his spot when he returns. As for your other RBs, Wilson seems to be the 3rd string behind Bradsaw and Brown (who I would drop WIlson for), and Jacquzzi hasn't really done much. So aside from Morris, who has been good, but is under Shanahan who is very unpredictable when it comes to RBs, who are pretty weak.

I would try and get Brown, or another potential RB, before pulling the trigger on that trade. Just my two cents though

Help me out please

Hold onto Morris. Yeah, he's subject to the whim of Shanny, but for now he's a starter (a workhorse starter at that) and FJax is hurt. Furthermore, Spiller's playing so well that I think FJax is looking at a timeshare situation when he returns from his injury.

RE: FA's, I would make Pitta your top target. He looks like a TE1, particularly in a deep league like yours, and has gotten a ton of targets. A significant upgrade over Tamme, IMO. I would drop Randle for him.

Id keep Morris. So far, hes looked good and is shanny's guy. He was rolling with Hightower till the injury last year.

Im not sure FJax ever regains his spot as lead back for Buffalo. What Spiller did to end last year, and start this one is more than enough proof that he deserves a feature role.

also with Tamme as your TE, id pickup Pitta and drop randle. Give yourself another decent option to play matchups/insurance for injury.

FJax will still be a fantasy contributor but right now Morris has the reigns. The problem is that RGIII gets tons of plays called for him to run the ball in the RZ. I think a couple of good licks put on him will change that though. So, I think Morris has more value right now but he is not offering enough. I know that Spiller is the stud right now and after this week, I'm sure he will cement a pretty even time share in BUF but I would see if he would throw in a serviceable WR2 in the deal.

Keep Morris, Drop Wilson, and add Brown. Simple solution. Brown will be solid Thursday for sure. Wilson is the RB3 and probably will be for a while. No need for him to take a spot on your bench.

Sorry I'm late with the response.

But if Brown is available grab him.

Def drop Randle and pick up Pitta!
Thx for the help.
