how would you counter this lopsided trade offer? 2 CJs WHIR

Postby ffallday » Wed Sep 19, 2012 1:23 pm

i received a lopsided trade offer that i want to counter. i need your help in countering. WHIR!

standard 12 team non ppr

my team
qb - brady
rb - spiller, greene, jackson, mcgahee, tate, ryan williams, andre brown
wr - marshall, desean, crabtree, moore
te - graham

his team
qb - luck, schaub
rb - joique bell, bush, fred jackson, moreno, rodgers
wr - megatron, andre johnson, brandon gibson, branch
te - tony g, aaron hernandez

original offer: i get megatron, aaron hernanez. he gets marshall, spiller, graham

it's clear that he puts a lot of weight in megatron. everyone is expendable on my roster including brady and i really want megatron. i think he's by and far above everyone else at wr. WHAT KIND OF COUNTER WOULD YOU OFFER?
12 Team non-ppr, standard scoring (6pts/td)
qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 1 flex (te/wr/rb), def, k

QB: Rodgers
RB: AP, SJax, Drich, Ingram
WR: Jordy, TY Hilton, Givens, Golden Tate, Vincent Brown
TE: Gronk, stream
DEF: stream
K: Dawson

if i was u i would keep yur current team, but if u really want megatron u can try make him add gonzalez instead of hernandez and u can sell high on desean instead of marshall due to maclins injury

i would definitely stick with your team as is. you'd be too weak at RB and getting hernandez now wouldn't help much given that he's out 4-6 weeks.

Yeah this guy clearly over values Megatron as Most people do. hes weak at RB so put the screws to him i you want Megatron and your guys are expendable Spillr for Megatron, or Megatron and Tony G for Spiller and Graham. Megatron is a great WR but eventhe best WRs cant beat double coverage. But id stick with your team. If anything try to trade andre brown for a decent WR.

if you posted a thread, i've responded.

interesting on the comments in just keeping my team. it's only been 2 weeks, but my team has scored the most pts in my league while the other team has scored the 2nd lowest. i'm just getting the itch to do a deal. since i hoarded all the rbs, i'm getting trade offers...none of which i like.

anyway, do you think my spiller/graham for his megatron/tony g is fair? i feel like i'm giving up a lot there. maybe I"M overvaluing graham here.

Yeahi always have the itch to make trades lol. But as with most people when it comes to trading they want to much for their guys, or they want your guys without giving you fair compensation. In my opinion youd be giving up more in the trade tony g dosent have the big numbers potential of jimmy graham. And i think when Fred Jackson does come back, spiller will get a bulk of the carries still fred jackson is no slouch but spiller is younger an faster. Calvin Johnson does kind of scare me. I drafted him in 2 out of my 3 leagues. im trying to get rid of him in one of the leagues so i dont have my eggs in one basket. If your comfy with the trade then go for it.
