"49ers have no interest in keeping T.O."

This is from an article on Sporting News written by Dan Pompei:

49ers WR Terrell Owens probably has cost himself some money by playing uninspired football this season. NFL front offices have noticed that Owens, a free agent to be, has played cautiously and some have speculated he is either consciously or subconsciously trying to avoid injury. In years past Owens was a physical, aggressive player, but that began to change after he got lit up by Rams S Aeneas Williams on an inside slant route in the second week of the season. Now, the 49ers don't want any part of Owens after the season and don't intend to use a tag to attempt to trade him. . . .

So looks like he is out of a job in San Fran. This has some implication on keeper leagues. I know there has been many discussions on where he could end up but this is the first statement by the 9ers that I have heard. Just thought some of you might find it interesting.

The Falcons would be a pretty "scary" offense w/ Owens on one side and Price on the other, with Vick throwing to them. B-)

Philly doesn't like paying for WRs though. They always go for the over the hill cheap retreads with guys like Freeman and Fryar.
