Big trade, advice needed

Postby lunchbox » Thu Sep 20, 2012 7:56 pm

I was offered calvin johnson, fred davis, and frank gore for jimmy graham, alfredmorris, and larry fitzgerald. I have Dennis Pitta as bench te, who'd be a servicable starter. Thoughts on this?

My roster:

Peyton Manning
Larry Fitzgerald
Stevie Johnson
Doug Martin
Stevan Ridley
Jimmy Graham
Alfred Morris
Justin Tucker
Green Bay
Vincent Jackson
Anquan Boldin
Dennis Pitta
Ronnie Hillman
Josh Freeman
Mark Ingram

His roster:

Tony Romo
Calvin Johnson
Roddy White
Michael Turner
Frank Gore
Fred Davis
Jeremy Maclin
Stephen Gostkowski
Jason Witten
Jacquizz Rodgers
Andrew Luck
Joe Flacco

His roster is a head scratcher for me. 3 QB's, 2 TE's, and 2 Def? That leaves hims with only 3 WRs and 2 relevant RB's. Talk about lacking depth.

Fred Davis is a dud this year. Pitta is number 5 in the entire league right now for targets. As long as that doesn't change, he'll be just fine as a starter. Frank Gore is running with something to prove. Haven't seen him this good in a couple years. Morris may or may not be Washington's starting RB this year. Calvin Johnson is Megatron. Larry Fitzgerald has no QB and doesn't have a really talented WR to take pressure off of him. Losing Jimmy Graham will sting a little, but Gore and Megatron have tremendous upside. If Bennett is still available in your league, drop Davis and pick him up.

Totally, but see if you can squeeze witten out of him.

Ways you can convince him. Injured spleen not entirely healed, 4 dropped catchable passes, other wideouts and murray to contend with
But we all know that its really been his first game back and he'll be back to his old self

Pitta is serviceable from a week 2 standpoint
