Time to drop Decker?

Postby ECG77 » Thu Sep 20, 2012 9:17 pm

I'm thinking of dropping him now. Thomas seems to be Manning's go to guy.

Here are replacements I'm looking at.

Randy Moss
Mario Manninghan
Brain Hartline
Andrew Hawkins
Leonard Hankerson
Nate Washington
Dexter McCluster
Laurant Robinson
Deion Branch

Or should I try to trade him off?

Its only been 2 games. I know he has a horrible match up this week against Houston, but I wouldn't drop him for any of those guys. The chemistry is coming.

Look at the total targets between the two guys. Decker has had 15 targets for 9 rec and 107 yds. Thomas has had 18 targets for 13 rec and 188 yds. One of those receptions was a 71 yd TD. Without it, he's at 117 yds. So other than the TDs (Decker has had some long looks and some red zone opportunities), the two WR's are still fairly even. Certainly not the time to drop Decker. If you're nervous about him, wait until he has a big game (any week now) and then sell him high.

Goodluck!
