Should this trade be vetoed!?

Postby TitsMcGahee » Fri Sep 21, 2012 10:42 am

Standard scoring league

A team is trading Matt Forte and Brandon LLoyd for Trent Richardson.

The team receiving Forte and Lloyd is also the commisioner. Should we as a league protest this, or is it fair enough? I don't see Forte being out very long and Lloyd could be a WR2.

I agree as well. It may look bad on paper based on preseason hype but injuries (Forte) and lack of production/dropped passes (Lloyd) make this trade doable at best. Richardson may have awakened and start to produce for a team no one gave an ounce of hope of doing much this season.

You're looking at this wrong and not giving Trent Richardson enough credit.
Richardson is > Forte.

Forte is always injured, and even if he wasnt, Bush will take TDs away from him. In both Auction draft leagues I was in, Richardson went for more than Forte and he didn't even step on an NFL field.

IfTo be honest, if I was the owner of Richardson, I wouldnt trade for Forte & Lloyd.

Yeah I just may be looking at it wrong. It all depends on if Lloyd blows up or not I suppose.

It doesn't really matter what you think of a trade. Unless it's something like James Jones for Calvin Johnson and Arian Foster, keep out of it. Trades are done to fill needs for owners, and no owner is going to accept a trade that he feels will make his team worse.

Agreed, it's not veto worthy. Lloyd and z Brady may never get on the same page, and as stated Forte keeps getting hurt. This is a high risk/reward for both owners and should be allowed.

Too many people abuse the veto power - just because it's a trade you wouldn't make doesn't mean it should be vetoed. Owners value players differently - unless there's collusion involved or someone fleecing a FF beginner trades should not be vetoed.
