WR trade question

Postby isuquinndog » Fri Sep 21, 2012 6:28 pm

I have Wes Welker and I've been offered Danny Amadola straight up.

My other team members are:

QB Ryan
WR Roddy White
WR Reggie Wayne
WR Wes Welker
RB Adrian Foster
RB Michael Bush
TE Finley
QB Romo (flex with any position, including QB)

RB Trent Richardson
WR Blackmon
RB Beanie Wells
RB LeShoure
QB Schaub
WR Ogletree

Passing TD's are only worth 4 but QB's get 25 yards/pt. Receiving/Rushing TD's worth 6 pts and 10 yds/point.

Thanks!

I really don't see how that trade helps you. I would want to take a wait-and-see approach with Welker this week and see how the Pats will use him now that Hernandez is out of the picture. I like Amendola but don't trust him to stay healthy over a full season. I would stay put for now.

Yeah I was certainly on the fence about it. I just feel like it's a panic type trade on Welker.

Yeah, Welker's role could greatly increase now that Hernandez is out of the picture. NE runs a 2-TE set which leaves only 2 WR's in formation with no slot reciever (Welker) included. With Hernandez out that leaves 1 TE in formation so a 3-WR set would be the norm. And that's where Welker should be on the field more. Hopefully . . . . :-°
