So I'm down 0-2 in my keeper league, and I just got offered this trade. In my league we get to start 3 WR's, 2 RB's, one W/R and one W/R/TE slot. Here's my team:
QB: E. Manning, R. Fitzpatrick WR: A.J. Green, A. Brown, D. Moore, N. Washington, R. Meachem, S. Moss RB: CJ, MJD, Morris, Turner TE: B. Celek, J. Cook, C. Fleener DEF: NE, ARI
Here is the trade:
I get: C.J. Spiller, Darren Sproles, DeSean Jackson, Austin Collie He gets: MJD, Michael Turner, Denarius Moore, Nate Washington
Should I go for it? I don't have much WR depth, but being able to unload turner would be great. What do you guys think? Should I try swapping out washington for another WR? Really need some advice here...leave a link and Ill do the same!
You are giving away 2 RB's that are not splitting carries (MJD and Turner) for 2 RB's that are/will be in the near future (Spiller and Sproles). Granted, Turner is having a slow start to the season but he will get his opportunities and make up for it. You have quite a few players on your roster that are having unrealistic starts to their seasons as well so I would look to make other changes in smaller trades instead of throwing all your eggs into one basket.
I would do it, actually. Sproles and Spiller are going great, and Jackson will get tons of looks while Maclin is dinged up. I hate Turner and I think MJD is going to start seeing 9-man fronts eventually.
I like the trade for you...Spiller's a beast and sproles is going to get points no matter what...I think the biggest difference is u get Djax who I like alot now that he's paid and healthy
I like the trade a lot more if it's a PPR league, but I would pull the trigger either way.
Since this is a keeper league, I don't mind you dealing MJD here either... there's a legit chance that his keeper value will ever go any higher than it is right now. I expect him to produce for several more years, but nothing's a given with the amount of wear on his tires and the passing game woes.
I think Turner can be somewhat effective at the goal line, but he doesn't have that "Burner" anymore.
Even if FJax comes back and contributes in a timeshare this year, I expect the Bills to continue to focus on running the ball, meaning there's enough touches for Spiller as lead dog to put up significant production.
I would pull the trigger on it. Do it. Spiller is going to be a freak. It's a keeper league and Jackson is over 30, injured, and will soon be seeing a lot less of the load when he comes back. Spiller is THAT good. Rest of the trade is solid.
