bench your D when going against your own players?

General tactical question:

I have houston's defense, but also have demeytrus (sp) thomas going against him this week..

I picked up miami's defense instead and am thinking about starting them...

do you start a different defense if you have one of your players going against them? Two?

If you had my situation would you still start houston's D?

In would start Houston's defense and be happy when Demarius gets a TD and happy when Houston forces a fumble right as Peyton was about to throw a pass to Demarius to.

Its a crap shoot. Hou may shut down Demarius but at the same time Demarius might have a stellar game. I just start my best possible players 100% of the time. I feel Houston defense is better than Miami. I had Houston top 3 defense at the beginning of the season and they have held strong so far

I agree. Your goal is to score the most points regardless of conflicts like these. They both can do well this week

You start Houston's defense. You have to. You are making the wrong comparison. Only compare the Houston Defense to any other defense you can potentially play. If you think the Houston defense will score the most point of these defenses, then you play the Houston defense.

You cannot worry that you have a WR on the other team and "hope" the Houston D takes a week off. It would be nice, but It doesn't work that way.
