Big Trade Mistake? WHIR

Postby drhanl » Tue Sep 25, 2012 8:22 pm

PPR league. 1 pt per 20 yard receiving, 10 yards rushing.

My team:

QB: Big Ben
RB: Rice
RB: MJD
WR: Welker
WR: DJax
Flex: A. Morris
TE: Gates

Bench:
S. Holmes
D. Moore
Hillis
O. Daniels

I am scared to death of Welker. And, I'm also nervous of A. Morris. I heard today that they signed Ryan Grant?????

I just traded Morris and Welker for Harvin and Chris Johnson.

Was this a major bonehead move?

Like I said, Welker has me scared to death. In this format, there are few WR's that I would rather have than P. Harvin. So, I love that move. But, Morris has been pretty darn solid. He just doesn't get any catches. And, I'm afraid Shanagans will rear it's ugly head soon.

This will force me to start Holmes or D. Moore at flex until C. Johnson can show up at least once.

Whatcha think?

Harvin for welker is a little bit better than Morris for CJ2YPC<-pun The guys is a huge let down he went 1st round in my 12 man ppr and my owner is selling him for a mcfish sandwich. Who knows though he could come back in the end of the year. Welker is never a lock with blicheck running the show in Chowderland. With the emergence of edileman and signing of K winslow brady is going to have targets all over so i say you win w/ the wr part of the trade, but ponder is getting it together and looking damn good. So its a 50/50.

Thanks for the help w/ mine.

I would say you came out even in this trade. The Welker for Harvin trade is a definite upgrade. Harvin will be a consistent producer and I think the return of Jerome Simpson will not have a negative impact on him. It may take some of the pressure off him. I do think that now is the time to sell high on Morris, but it's obviously not the time to buy on CJ. If you can afford to sit CJ, you should be ok. Because it's a PPR league, you will be just fine putting Holmes or Moore in at flex. Both look to be like really good flex options going forward.

yeah, I'd rather have Welker. That "Welker's dead" worry lasted one week. He's been great the last two weeks.
