you always have to wonder what the heck the Patriots are doing. What happens when Hernandez and Edelman come back? Why did Woodhead get more carries?
Basically, you're doing this trade in case there is a RB committee in NYG. I'm not as high on Ridley as others,so it really depends on what free agents are out there. If you like Ridley better and there are some good waiver wire options that could pan out, I would do it.
i wouldn't do this. Ridley leaves the field when NE puts their spread offense in. which will be a lot. i think you have to wait and see what Giants do with both Bradshaw and Brown, and how the ratio goes. imo will be 60- 65% carries to Bradshaw, unless Brown is consistently going for 5 yards a pop on every carry and forces himself in more. i would still take 2/3 carries with Bradshaw in every game over Ridley who will completely disappear at times. Bradshaw will get you more TDs also. Bradshaw is a proven guy to old skool Coughlin, he can block, Coughlin knows that. Brown misses a block in next game & he immediately looses playing time. short leash with Coughlin in that regard.
I don't like it, Ridley seems like a matchup play week in and week out, the pats will play to the opponents weakness. Bradshaw, while I don't care for him is good everywhere on the field, pass protection, catching balls, and rushing. I do think andre will take some carries, but I think bradshaw will see a majority. Bradshaw is also injury prone and we've seen what Brown can do in his place. I don't think I'd do it, you're trading a rbbc for a guy who you cant predict what the team will do week to week.. which situation would you rather have?
I think Ridley is the better RB right now but he's still a risk. For me it probably comes down to who you'd be able to get with your extra offsensive spot off the WW. Anyone good out there?
