WHIR - Ben Tate or Ryan Williams

Postby cloudwasher » Wed Sep 26, 2012 3:07 pm

I have Ben Tate and have been stashing him away in case Arian Foster gets injured, in which case he becomes a top 5 RB. However, Ryan Williams is available on the waiver wire and I'm considering picking him up.

(Relevant part of) my roster, 8 team league PPR

Start 2RB 2WR 1Flex

RB:
A. Peterson
J Charles
R Mathews
S Ridley
B Tate
M Leshoure

WR:
A Johnson
C Johnson
M Wallace
E Decker

Right now Tate is the only one on my roster Im willing to drop so its a matter of whether Williams is worth sacrificing the potential upside of Tate. Thanks in advance for any help, leave a link and I'll help in return.

I don't think he's worth it man, you can only play 2 RB's at most 3 in which case for your team I would be starting AP, Leshoure and Charles right now. You also have Matthews and Ridley who are both starter quality. I don't think Williams has the upside to drop Tate for him.

thanks for your help ;-D

I wouldn't bother picking up williams. he's been playing a lot and still hasn't done anything. that o line is not very good.

I agree with the others, Tate is too good of a player to give up for a flyer on Williams. Your RB depth is too good for you to ever be playing Williams at any point in this season. Better off holding onto the potential of Tate.

Ryan Williams in the first couple of games was barely making a dent in YPC. I'd stay with Tate. You're already pretty deep at RB. You can afford to hold out and seeing if fosters gets injured.
