My Brees/Harvin for Rodgers/D. Thomas?...WHIR

Postby sfninersfan1981 » Fri Sep 28, 2012 1:13 pm

I've been offered Aaron Rodgers and Demaryius Thomas for Drew Brees and Percy Harvin. I think the window to buy low on Rodgers will be slammed shut after he breaks out against N.O. but is this really even buying low? It's a PPR league.Thomas had a bad game this past week but he's still being heavily targeted. Harvin is a PPR beast.

These are the 12 team league settings: 1 pt=10 yds rush and rec, 6pt= rush/rec/return TDs, 1pt=1 reception, 4pt=pass TD, 1pt=25 pass yds, -1=int/fumbles, -2 fumbles lost.

Roster

QB-Brees
WR-Marshall
WR-Harvin
RB-Foster
RB-Ridley
TE-Gonzalez
Flex-Amendola
Flex-J. Locker

Bench-Maclin, Leshoure, B. Tate, Ryan Williams, Hillis, Cassel

I think this year Rodgers > Brees because of the situation in New Orleans.

Also, Peyton Manning seems to like Thomas and as they build a chemistry then i think Thomas can be a stud. Last game he targeted Thomas 12 times!

I accept the deal in a heartbeat.

Thanks for help on mine.

Thanks for the help with mine. I would make this deal, as I think Rodgers will outplay Brees going forward. And Thomas will be closer to Harvin's numbers than most people think!!

Thanks for the reply...I like Rodgers over Brees for sure...I'm less enthusiastic about Thomas but he def has value...I'd accept the deal because I think your getting a lot of value in Rodgers but only giving up a little in the Thomas Harvin Trade

I'd also do this deal. Not that Brees is going to continue to have a bad year, because afterall he is still Drew Brees.... Rodgers is in a similar situation as Brees, in that they're both underperforming, but they're both going to get better IMO. So I think it comes down to whether or not you'd rather have Thomas than Harvin. I'd give the edge to Thomas.
Do the deal.

Thanks for your help with my question! ;-D

I'd take the Rodgers side.

I like the Brees side myself. Brees and Rodgers are very similar and I like Harvin easily over Thomas.

i'd go with the brees side. i think harvin might finish as a top 3 WR this year. that and i don't think there's going to be too much of a difference between brees and rodgers. the saints defense is going to force brees to throw even more this year.
