CJ for CJ

Hey all,

14 team 0.5 PPR league looking for some advice. As always, WHIR.

QB: P. Rivers
WR: A. Johnson
WR: D. Bowe
WR: M. Colston
RB: R. Rice
RB: A Morris
TE: M. Bennett
W/T: D. Moore

B- C. Spiller, R. Williams, B. Tate, P. Hillis, L. Hankerson, K. Wright

RECEIVE: V. Cruz, C. Johnson (Ten)
GIVE: D. Bowe, C. Spiller

It seems like a no brainer, but given my roster construction (only 2 RB needed, well covered with Morris and Rice) is it better to just hope for a Fred Jackson injury? Spiller has proven to be a top 3 back when that happens. Or would it be better to make a smaller deal and try to upgrade my W/T spot by offering Moore and Spiller?

Thanks again and WHIR. Take care

I wouldn't , it's going to take more than 1 game to convince me CJ is back after the way he's been playing the first 3 games

edit:and for a 14team league you got a great team

Thanks for your advice with mine:

IMO, I'd do this trade. Ray Rice and Alfred Morris are your starters and you already are leaving Spiller on the bench. Although Bowe is a good receiver to have, Victor Cruz is a really nice upgrade. And who knows, Chris Johnson certainly has the ability to turn things around and you can't count on a Fred Jackson injury for Spiller to take over.

Your starting RB's are solid, you can swing that trade and your team will come out in better shape overall. I'd do it.

Toss up, I wouldn't do it. I am very high on bowe. Nyg schedule is pretty brutal, in terms of wr matchups.

I see little upside with cj. How do you start that guy, ever. Spiller has more upside, to me, especially as a reserve.

I'd do it. Spiller has huge upside, but he's in a timeshare at best now. You've got Williams and Tate to plug in on bye weeks, and you'll have the CJ lottery ticket, too.

I think as of now, you're getting the best player in the trade (Cruz). And you're improving your starting WRs without hurting your starting RBs. I'd take the deal.

On paper its a good deal, but me personally, I'm not going anywhere near Chris Johnson.
