I'm in a .5 PPR league and was offered Torrey Smith and Andre Brown for my Hakeem Nicks and Bilal Powell. We start 2 RB, 2 WR and a W/R/T flex. My other RBs/WRs:
I would say yes. Nicks' injury scares me, because it's both the foot and the knee now. I don't think he'll ever be fully healthy this year. Brown has proven he can be good when Bradshaw is out, and I wouldn't bet on Ahmad staying healthy. Smith is the primary threat in a downfield passing game that should continue to flourish. It's close, but i'd make the deal.
I'd do it. Nicks is an injury risk who you know will be contending with Victor Cruz pretty much all season for touches, which hurts in a PPR league. Flacco has been targeting Pitta a lot, but you know that Torrey Smith is the #1 option among receivers, and I expect his numbers to only go up. Add in Nicks' injury history, and the fact that I wouldn't count Andre Brown out just yet (Bradshaw an injury risk too), and I think I would do it.
Well, if you need to win in the short term, do the trade. You are thin at WR with Nicks out.
But, if you can stick it out, I'd stay with Nicks. Torrey is nice, but I still don't trust him to be consistent, and I like Nicks a hell of a lot more. He may be out for awhile though.
