Take a chance? Mendenhall or Battle

How much faith so I put in mendenhall this week? Will Pit use him heavy because how much trouble they have had running? Or go with Battle? It's hard to bet against Mathews, might have something to prove this week.

Honestly, I think Mathews still has to earn his coaching staff's trust. He's fumbled already, and has looked sloppy. Battle has looked serviceable through these past weeks, and should get nice action against a D that can't stop a damn thing.

The thing with Mendenhall is, you just don't know how much he will be used. He could go Adrian Peterson on us and play strong from the get-go. Or, he could be eased into the situation. Regardless, comparing him to a bulldozer like Peterson is not exactly apples to apples.

If it's a risk you're willing to take with the matchups, go with Mendenhall. If I were you, though, I would stash him at least till next week.

Keep Mende benched one more week until you see his "burst" and the workload. You risk missing an AP like surprise performance but it's a much safer strategy.
