Battle or Forte? WHIR

Postby TriniEagle » Sat Oct 06, 2012 6:34 am

Hi Guys,

I know Forte should be an easy choice over Battle, but he is still coming off an injury. Battle of course is not the choice starting back at the Chargers, but Matthews is still being eased back in and NO are a lip-licking team for anyone with a rushing option against them. I know after this week, barring any setback to Matthews, then Battle is most likely done for the season fantasy wise. Is he worth a gamble this weekend or should Forte be put in and hope he gets big playing time?

Yeah, I would still have to go Forte. It's not like that matchup is brutal. And, last week, even after coming back from injury, he dominated the touches.

I would not take the gamble with Battle. He could get 20 touches or 2. Who knows. I would bank on it being closer to 2.

Forte for sure...he is the more talented runner and has a very favorable matchup this week. I think Norv Turner has something up his sleeve and think this is the week he unleashes Mathews. I still think Battle wil get his touches, but not as many as the previous weeks.

9 times out of 10, I would go with Forte.

However, because of the matchup. I would go with Battle, cause it seems like anyone can put up numbers at will against that horrible defense. And plus, I think Battle wants to show Turner why he deserves to start.

Help with mine please.

Nope. Forte for sure. Battle was given a lot of starts in run-heavy KC last year after Charles went down and showed NOTHING. There's a reason they released Battle and went out and got Hillis.

Forte without a doubt. Battle is not a talented back, and I can see Mathews getting the start and just running all over the NO defense. Give the nod to Forte, gotta play your studs!

I'm on the Forte train as well! Battle is a bit fluky and I think the title starter this week means nothing.

Forte should have a big game. Keep in mind though SanDiego has Battle in front of Matthews on the depth chart this week.

Go Forte, don't sit your studs
