To trade or not to trade Rice?

Postby Txbred » Sun Oct 07, 2012 9:19 am

My team is below and my question is if I am better off trading rice for say, lynch or mccoy and a solid #2 or #3 wr, or keeping rice and playing my #3 wr spot by committee until I can pick up a decent wr of waivers. I have #2 waiver right now.

Other thoughts were to move sproles or davis for wr

Thanks and whir

QB-M Ryan, R Fitzpatrick
WR-Green, D Thomas, James Jones, Boldin, M Williams
RB-R Rice, Mcgahee, Sproles, J Rodgers
TE-Davis, Celek

would depend on what wr you would be getting, I'd throw out a few offers aiming high and see what they counter with(or maybe even get your 1st choice)

If you were to trade away Rice I would definitely set my eyes on a RB along the caliber of McCoy for sure and nothing less. The WR would make a difference as well, but with a 10-team league you can usually find decent WR talent in free agency if needed.

Like the poster above mentioned I would toss out Rice's name on the trade block and see what offers come your way. Personally, I would keep Rice but it doesn't hurt to see other options to increase the value of your team overall if the right deal comes along.
