I'm in a PPR League with very high scoring for QB's (good ones will score 40-50 a game. Points per Completion is the biggest factor). My current QB is Cam Newton, who has literally lost two games for me all by myself with his maddeningly inconsistent numbers. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, FLEX, TE, K, DEF My roster is as follows: QBs: Cam Newton, Christian Ponder RBs: Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Michael Turner, Rashard Mendenhall, Mikel Leshoure, Ryan Williams WRs: Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Dwayne Bowe, Pierre Garcon, Jerome Simpson, Kenny Britt TE: Brandon Pettigrew K: Blair Walsh DEF: Atlanta
Newton is on bye next week. I am wondering if I should trade for another QB. I was thinking Andrew Luck. The Luck owner also has Aaron Rodgers, so Luck is not his starter, and he could use some help at other positions (RB/WR, both of which I am fairly deep at). My question is this: Is Michael Turner for Andrew Luck a good trade? Too much? Not enough? He'll start for at least next week, and playing the match ups could be to my advantage. Turner sits on the bench almost every week, and those behind him are capable of picking up the slack.
Do it. I'm not a fan of Turner and never have been, even though he has been producing. If the other owner needs RB's, then Turner should be enough to get the job done. Good luck!
Most definitely do it. Turner is ok, but if the league has emphasized qb's so much it follows that playing a more passing prone qb with good hands down the field will get you more points than an ovverbhyped rb. You will lose some ppr value, but you are still largely deep in backs and considering points per completion luck is a much better play that newton's happy feet and the viking's ball security based offense.
QB: Drew Brees RB: Jamaal Charles, Steven Jackson, The Lawfirm, Ben Tate WR: Steve Smith, Lance Moore, Danario Alexander, Danny Amendola, Pierre Garcon, Anquan Boldin TE: Heath Miller DST: vikings, steelers, colts K: Matt Bryant
