Here are my thoughts on value:
Calvin Johnson > Torrey Smith (but it's closer than you think)
Doug Martin < Ryan Mathews
Shonn Greene < Pierre Garcon
Shonn Greene (and the Jets as a whole) has looked dreadful, and this is ultimately the dealbreaker for me. You're giving up Mathews, who has finally given us a "#1 RB" week, and I think he'll finally pay off for owners going forward. Getting two #2 RB in return will not help you. Calvin Johnson isn't really displaying that "Megatron-ness" from last season, and let's face it, he's still a WR and still prone to inconsistency and variability. And Lions look to be in a funk this year. Maybe they come out of the bye looking better, but don't count on it. Meanwhile, Torrey Smith looks to be realizing a lot of the potential he showed last season. He'll still throw up a stinker every now and then, but to me he's like the old DeSean Jackson: huge upside. I'd rather keep the the 3 guys you have then trade for Calvin Johnson and Doug Martin. Let's face it, Shonn Greene is not worth owning and will sit on your bench all year, at best. I wouldn't make the trade.
