Dalton for Bowe? WHIR

Hello All,

I have Brees on a bye week and need a one start QB. Have been offered Dalton for Bowe, Nicks, Hernadez (NE - TE)or Torrey Smith. Was thinking Bowe with the crappy KC and since Brady Quinn is starting. Although I have been sitting on Nicks for weeks. 16 team league and Kolb, Quinn and Weeden is whats left on wire.

No way. Dalton will never start again after this week, and D-Bowe (the king of garbage time) will be useful for you in the coming weeks.

I'd just drop someone and pick up Kolb, who plays Buffalo this week. Doesn't get a much better matchup than that.

I agree, bad idea...In a 16 team league all of those guys you are considering getting rid of should be every week starters. Why ruin your lineup for the rest of the season for a guy you will start one game?

Do you think I could get Dalton and then trade him later?

If not who Kolb, Quinn or Weeden?

no way...decline, decline and decline...you will never get the value back for Dalton...just pickup Kolb (ugh...) for a week and pray for a miracle.

thanks for your reply on my julio trade thread. I also have d. Bowe and I love him to have a big year. Dalton is a stud as well but i wouldnt deal bowe for a bye week replacement. Go with Kolb or someelse for that one week. I've won with vick putting up 6 points so it can be done. then you'll just throw brees back in the next week and still have bowe.

Seems be a consensus to roll the dice with Kolb vs Bills. I put in wire request and will know by 10th if I get him. If I do not get him I will pick up Weeden, if not that then will have to trade for Dalton in hopes I can flip him to someone else week 7 to get some value back. Thanks for the posts!!!

Kolb with a good matchup sounds like a descent bye week replacement.

If you can't get Kolb or Weeden I still wouldn't give up any of those players. This guy is clearly trying to take advantage of your bye week. You should be able to get a qb2 for a much lower price despite it being a 16 team league.
