Sell high on Mathews? WHIR

Postby hotpocket » Mon Oct 08, 2012 4:39 pm

Someone in my league foolishly offered me Mathews for DeAngelo Williams which I accepted. He just had a great game, however it remains to be seen whether he is going toback, or if he'll get goal line carries.

Should I try and flip him?

My other RB's are Demarco Murray, Willis McGahee, and J Stew (who I could probably drop). WR's (start 2) are Wayne and Cruz (had Holmes too, but he's gone). So I'm not particularly weak at either, but I don't feel like any of my RB's are terribly reliable, however I think Murray will do better now that their schedule is about to ease up. The one thing that works out for me is since Holmes went down, I have a solid flex with Mathews or McGahee. If I were to trade both for a stud RB I would be very weak at flex.

What do you guys think?

Keep Mathews! All this Jackie Battle hype is just Norv Turner trying to teach Ryan Mathews about ball control. Mathews for D-Will? Be happy and run all the way to the playoffs on that. No need to sell.

Stick with Mathews, I could see selling high on him in another 4-5 games due to his injury history; however you can say that with most running backs. He has the potential to put up top 5 numbers.

Mathews is a solid #1 on a great offensive team. He runs down hill and the media deal with the Chargers is a ploy meant to motivate him. Battle starting Sunday night was a one time deal, and if I remember correctly, Mathews had a great game. Selling high would all depend on what you could get your hands on.
