You're stacked at WR, you probably just grabbed Jones off the wire anyway, and I think Davis is a strict upgrade for the rest of the year over Gates, who has been very disappointing and really hasn't shown any reason to think he'll improve. I'd probably go for it.

Thanks for mine. I dont think its a bad trade, your def getting an upgrade at TE. V Davis is a top 5 TE. maybe try for a WR in return, Hawkins, washington, or bess. Good luck

Once Greg Jennings comes back, James Jones becomes James Jones again. I'd much rather have Vernon Davis then Gates. As the other poster said, you have enough WR's anyway. Go for it.
Do it immediatley. I personally think Gates is a disaster and is done. So getting Davis will immediately upgrade your team. Jones is way too unpredictable and will just drive you batty when deciding when to start him.
