I am in a 32 team league where there is a salary cap and contract years. I am 4-1 and have a very young team with a great defense but my offense is weak. The two pieces that I have are Tannehill (too young) and Richardson. I am willing to move picks in order to get pieces but I am not sure if it is worth it. My plan going into the year was not to be good but to be semi decent and work to be good for next year but I have surprisingly done well.
Should I give up a 2013 First round pick and 2nd round pick plus a 2014 second for Aaron Hernandez? This is PPR and these are rookie picks (keep in mind defensive players are good).
Post your roster. Do you have salary cap limits along with limits on contract years? I would imagine Hernandez is on a 2 yr contract but not sure he is worth the draft picks for the next 2 years.
max five year deals, hernandez is a five year deal

I see you spent well on your IDP's and they are paying off. Your TE's are not bad for a 32-team league (I like Dwayne Allen for the long haul). What is Hernandez's salary? And do these contract years shrink by one year going into next season? How many 1-yr contracts are you allowed to renew each year?
Where in the world do you find leagues like this? This seems like a blast. I wish i could contribute more but it seems a bit above my pay grade atm.

Dwayne Allen is a one year guy, and all 1 years go back into an auction. Hernandez is 5 years,93. I may have to trade one of perry Riley or Brandon spikes plus the picks
Hate to ask all these questions but been in a league similar to this (not as many players) and trying to fully understand what you can and cannot do with players at the end of the season. That hurts with Allen being dropped back to free agency. Do you have separate drafts (one for rookie players and the one annual auction draft for the remaining player pool)?
You have both Riley and Spikes for one more year. And you went into a bidding war for Willis (worth it) so your LB's are your strength for sure. If you are talking about trading either Riley or Spikes plus those 3 picks for Hernandez I would definitely reconsider.
Our league had a 2-round rookie draft after the annual auction draft. So if you didn't blow your wad on rookies in the auction you could pick them up in the rookie for practically nothing, contract years aside.
I can see the other owner interested in the IDP's if he is hurting at that position points-wise. I see nothing wrong with that offer but would send him your 2014 2nd rounder instead of your 2013 2nd rounder. If you finish the season well your 1st and 2nd round picks next season will be close together (if you do a snake draft) so that is my reasoning to offer a pick for each year (2013 and 2014).
