Can't decide on last flex spot

Postby FirstCoast » Wed Oct 10, 2012 6:07 pm

ESPN standard scoring, 10 team league. 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, 1 DS/T, 1 K

My lineup so far for this week;

QB - Stafford
RB1 -Marshawn Lynch
RB2 - BenJarvus Green-Ellis
WR1 - Victor Cruz
WR2 - Andre Johnson
TE - Vernon Davis
FLEX - Reggie Wayne
FLEX - Undecided
DS/T - Rams
K - Jason Hanson
BE - Andrew Luck
BE - Steven Jackson
BE - Mikel Leshoure
BE - Vick Ballard
BE - Eric Decker
BE - Brian Hartline
BE - Brent Celek
BE - Seahawks DS/T

Ballard is standing out to me since he is playing the Jets this week, but I'm not sure just how good he is, or if I can trust Indy to run it enough. Other then him, I was also thinking about starting either Decker or Leshoure, but that's a toss up to me. Which guy should I go with for my last flex spot?

Got it down to Ballard or Decker. Any other thoughts?

I like Ballard or Celek. Detroit does give up plays to T/E's

Until Ballard gets his average above 2 yards per carry I wouldnt put a whole lot of faith in him. Decker doesn't get a whole lot of work between the 20's, that all goes to DT, but he is Peyton's favorite endzone target, (its also worth noting that Manning lobbied for the Colts to draft Decker, Peyton is a pretty big fan of that guy). Oh, and the Chargers secondary is overrated at best. Only 4 passing td's to WR's through the first 4 games? Good on ya Norv, but as soon as they face a QB on a mission and a receiving corps with some talent, they get blown up for 4 td's in a single game. (Matt Ryan had something like 4 passing td's too when they faced SD, but they were to Gonzalez and I think even Jaquizz got one, so thats not all on the secondary) Decker is worth the flex spot imo.

Picked up Ballard and starting him - go for it, season is still early. He could be this week's surprise, and it's only a flex spot.
