Rashard Mendenhall for Miles Austin

Postby organist » Wed Oct 10, 2012 9:28 pm

So, we play 2 RB and 2 WR, no flex.

I currently have a surplus of RBs;

Alfred Morris
Adrian Peterson
Ray Rice
Rashard Mendenhall

But my WR are thin/underperforming with only Hakeem Nicks injured (will he come back ever???), Stevie Johnson, and Brian Hartline to support Brandon Marshall.

I was originally trying to pry Percy Harvin for AP (Harvin is the top scoring WR in ym league due to return yards), or Roddy White for Morris, or something like that, but have been countered with my Mendenhall for his Miles Austin. His need for RB is (in my opinion) even greater than my need for WR.

What are the thoughts of the cafe on this? Is Austin gonna step up here (is Romo gonna step up???). Is Nicks gonna come back anytime soon? I am pretty high on Mendenhall this year, but don;t see any way he cracks my lineup with AP Morris and Rice already up there battling for 2 spots.

Advice please...!

Who do folks like best? Mendenhall or Morris? Should I counter with Morris and try to keep Mendenhall?

I would definitely make that trade for Mendenhall. I would not go with Morris as you still really don't know how healthy Mendenhall is. I cannot imagine that all of these RBs with the quick returns from ACL surgery will hold up for the entire season. Keep ALMO as he is a beast.
