WHIR--trade help

Postby betacheer » Wed Oct 10, 2012 9:31 pm

I have a trade offer in a standard, non-PPR league, we start QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 Flex (WR/RB), TE, Def, K:

Dwayne Bowe and Steven Jackson (he gives)
Larry Fitzgerald (or Demaryius Thomas) (I give).

My lean is to make the trade with Fitzgerald, mainly because the Arizona offense is so bad. Thoughts?

My current roster is:
QB-Tom Brady
RB-Fred Jackson
RB-Jackie Battle
RB-Bilal Powell
WR-James Jones
WR-Demaryius Thomas
TE-Hernandez (Celek is backup)

You're relatively strong at WR and very weak at RB. You're better off using one of your stud RBs in a straight up RB deal, or at least getting a back that is better than Jackson. Too much value in this deal is tied into Bowe. Try to get something that improves your RBs more.

I do think that this trade makes your effective roster better, but I agree that you might be able to target a bigger upgrade at RB for all the effort.
Like I say, I think that this trade works out for you, but I think that there is potential to do better... Bowe is not a lock to continue his performance especially after Cassel got hurt (didn;t he have a head injury? Maybe I am going nuts with that one... check online before taking that for gospel)

Thanks for looking at mine.
