Good Team for 14 Team League, Losing Games

Postby TampaBayCane » Thu Oct 11, 2012 5:00 pm

I am in a 14 team league that is scored with 4 pts td pass, 1 for 25 yards passing, 6 for rushing td, 1 for 10 yards rushing, 6 for td receptions, and 1pt for 10 yards receiving. I think I had a pretty good draft and made some good trades and now have this team:
QB- Matt Ryan
RB- Arian Foster, Darren McFadden, Rashard Mendenhall, Marshawn Lynch
WR- Antonio Brown, Denarius Moore, Greg Jennings, Kenny Britt, Titus Young
TE- Jimmy Graham
D/ST- Steelers
K- Connor Barth

I have been putting up good points but have two losses. And for a 14 team league, I think my team should be doing better. Do you think that I should make some trades for a better WR? And who to give up? I was thinking of giving up Mendenhall or Lynch.

You have a solid team, but yes I do agree the WRs are a weak point. Lynch would be more apt to bring in a good receiver, and you could afford it since you have Foster. If you wanna play safer and just deal Mendenhall that could work too, he should fetch someone decent.

Yikes, with Mendenhall going down last night that hurts his value a lot so i would recommend not selling him low. You are absolutely stacked, especially at RB, and part of the reason you are losing is because of injuries and slow starts. You have been without Moore/Jennings/Britt/Mendenhall and McFadden has got off to a tough start and had his bye. McFadden's schedule opens up and the rest of the guys are getting healthy. I think you stay put and dont trade anyone, just try and stay afloat until Jennings gets healthy and you will be fine

I have to agree with his statement now. Mendenhall's injury lowers his short term value, possibly even long term since this is his second injury both this year. You are fortunate in that you have 2 starter quality backs in Lynch and Foster, ride it out.
