WEEK 7 QB HELP! YES ALREADY

Postby MRiH » Sun Oct 14, 2012 7:34 pm

My possibilities for next week while Rivers is on Bye.
Someone in my league has publicly made Stafford available, so Stafford vs. CHI, Cutler vs. DET, Kolb (if healthy) vs. MIN, or Josh Freeman vs. NO?

Any help or opinion is appreciated. Just curious now, but may post again later in week as Kolb's status is revealed or more options open up.

I think you will pay too much for Stafford for one week against a very tough Chicago Defense. Cutler would come cheaper and should do fine. Also Freeman is an option but before the bye he was sucking. This game could be a fluke but its an option.

I'm in the same position, Rivers on a bye next week and need to pick up a QB for Week 7.

Choices:

1) Cutler - MNF vs. Detroit
2) Ponder - vs. Arizona
3) Palmer - vs. Jax
4) R Wilson - at SF Thursday

I am leaning Cutler after a bye week on the big stage at home. Thoughts?

I too am leaning towards Cutler though last year he was just average against the Lions. You're right though about the bye week and earlier he performed well on MNF.

I do have to darkhorses I'm still looking at:
Freeman against the Saints after his big week and
Hasselbeck against the Bills

I'm in the same boat with Peyton sitting this week. Cutler is a decent option, but Freeman has a juicy matchup with the horrible NO defense. Other juicy matchups include Fitz vs TEN and Palmer vs JAX. Of all those, I'm leaning towards Freeman. I wouldn't trade for Stafford, unless you are considering playing him over Rivers the rest of the year (which might not be such a bad idea after last night's game...) I'm also able to pick up Romo (at CAR) or Luck (vs CLE) this week, both with nice matchups so I have even more options. What do you think?

I'll put my faith in Cutler.
